Q1:What types of products do you produce?
We specialize in producing authentic Greek products such as Greek yogurt, Feta cheese & Tzatziki. We also produce a variety of yogurt-based dips. Please refer to our products page.

Q2:Why buy SKOTIDAKIS Greek yogurt?
We make our Yogurt the way Greek yogurt has always been made. It is simply strained, hence naturally thickened. Ready to serve.

Q3:Why are the protein and calcium content twice as high in SKOTIDAKIS Greek yogurt?
The traditional method to make Greek yogurt allows for concentration of protein content by removing excess whey liquid. In more simple terms it takes three times as much milk to make Greek yogurt versus regular yogurt.

Q4:Are there probiotics in your Greek yogurt and yogurt-based dips?
Yes. We employ the use of the finest ingredients in the manufacturing of our yogurt and to that end we use the universally recognized yogurt strains: Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus. In addition to that, we also use the following 2 strains of probiotics to make our yogurt: Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Bifidobacterium Lactis.

Q5:Do you use any artificial sweeteners in your flavored yogurt products?
No. We prefer to abstain from the use of sweeteners such as aspartame and sucralose.

Q6:Can I eat your yogurt-based products if I am lactose intolerant?
Lactose intolerance stems from ones inability to digest lactose, which is natural milk sugar, found in dairy products. Active dairy cultures in our yogurt and yogurt-based dips aid the absorption of lactose hence easing the digestive process. We recommend trying smaller portions to help you determine your own digestive threshold.

Q7:Are your products gluten-free?
We currently claim our Feta cheese, yogurts and dips to be gluten free.

Q8:Can I eat your yogurt-based products if I am a vegetarian?
Our products are an excellent choice for vegetarians as they are a great source of protein. Our products are free of any animal-based thickeners.

Q9:How much calcium is in SKOTIDAKIS Greek yogurt?
Calcium content in Greek yogurt is known to be high. The amount varies depending on the product and is clearly indicated on each label.

Q10:Can I freeze your products?
It is not recommended to freeze our products. In doing so, taste and texture will be compromised.

Q11:How long do your yogurt-based products last once opened?
Proper sanitary practices along with proper food storage will allow for keeping each product as fresh as possible. We recommend consuming each product in its entirety within 7 days of removing its seal.

Q12:How long does your Feta cheese last once opened?
The block of feta can last up to 3 months. It is imperative that your Feta cheese remains immersed in its brine in order to keep it fresh. Proper sanitary practices along with proper food storage will allow for keeping each product as fresh as possible. If need be, a recipe for homemade brine can be found on the packaging of our Feta.

Q13:Are your products pasteurized?
Yes. All our products must be pasteurized under Health Canada’s Food regulations.

Q14:Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes. All recycling numbers can be found on each container.

Q15:Are your products Kosher?
All our products are Kosher (OU-D) except for our Feta cheese.
